Choosing the right elastic depends on your project. Braided elastic narrows when stretched and is best for casings (like sleeves or swimwear). Woven elastic is firm, "non-roll," and retains its width, making it ideal for heavy waistbands. Braided styles are softer, while woven handles mid-to-heavy fabrics.
